Network to Innovate (N2I) is a collaboration of the Estonian, Finnish, Latvian and Polish innovation networks that aims to highlight practical examples of research and innovation in agriculture.
There are many examples in these four countries neighbouring on Sweden that showcase the practical application of innovation in agriculture. This event will give examples of innovation and knowledge exchange (AKIS) in the Nordic-Baltic area.
Target group for this event: Interested AKIS stakeholders: farmers, researchers, agri-food businesses, entrepreneurs.

Developing AKIS in Sweden – four knowledge hubs
Speaker: Ms. Stephanie Kindbom, Swedish Board of Agriculture, Sweden. The Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System is being grown in Sweden. The four knowledge hubs are an example of work in progress.
AKIS training programme for the next generation of agricultural advisors
Speaker: Ms. Eve Külmallik, The Centre of Estonian Rural Research and Knowledge (METK), Estonia. The Estonian authorities have been through a series of visits to other EU countries (including Ireland and Austria) and have distilled their experience into their own training programme for advisors.
The knowledge centre on green transition in Northen and Eastern Kainuu
Speaker: Mr. Samuli Rinne, municipality of Hyrynsalmi, Finland. This centre of excellence in northern Finland is a thematic AKIS cluster that looks to strengthen the green transition.
Demonstration projects for farmers
Speaker: Ms. Justyna Fila, Agricultural Advisory Centre (CDR), Radom branch office, Poland. Peer-to-peer learning is one of the best ways to spread innovative farming practices. This example shows how farm demonstrations can be used to support knowledge transfer.
